Photo to Chart

Turn your photos into cross stitch patterns.

Please send a photo that is clear with good colours and contrast, the photo must be sharp and in focus.

Don't re-size the photo to small. A nice large photo can be re-sized by me to accommodate the size pattern you ask for. If you send a small photo I don't have anything to work with.

The larger the chart, the more stitches, the better the detail in the finished design. This also applies to the number of thread colours used.

You will choose the size of your pattern by the largest size of the photo. If the photo is wide horizontally (landscape), then your pattern will be wide horizontally (landscape). If your photo is taller, then your pattern size will be the tall size (Portrait)

Your pattern can be stitched on 14, 16, 18 or 22 count Aida

The number of thread colours matters to a certain extent. Mostly I get good results with 65 or less thread colours. I very rearly make patterns with over 60 thread colours on the patterns I sell. The more colours you use, the more confetti stitches you will have.

Some people love confetti stitches as they believe single stitch colours make for more detail. I agree, but again if you have for example Cranberry-VY DK 400 stitches, Cranberry-DK 40 stitches and Cranberry-MD 220 stitches. I will remove the 40 Cranberry-DK stitches individually, not just merge to Cranberry-VY DK or Cranberry-MD.

If you would prefer that I don't remove any colours at all from your chart, just let me know and I will leave all the thread colours even if some have only 1 stitch used in the pattern. Or you can tell me what the lowest number of stitches you want to use for individual thread colours.

Some designers can turn a photo to chart around in 24 to 48 hours. I can't, I am slower because I look at each colour and I will remove any thread colour that uses less than 100 stitches. There are exceptions to my rule, but mostly no thread colour will use less than 100 stitches.

My turn around for Photo to Chart is 3 to 4 days. I will communicate with you during the early part of the conversion. I want to be sure we are aiming for the same result.

You will not be charged for this pattern until you are happy with the results.

The patterns are in PDF's that can be printed at home. or imported to Pattern Keeper.

On average the custom pattern price will rang from $30.00 to $35.00 AUD which is approximately $19.00 to $22.00 USD
